    have you tried

    On PC:

Go to Network and Sharing in Control Panel
Click on Change Advanced Sharing to the left
I turned Everything to On (besides password sharing to be safe)

    On Mac:

    Sys Preferences
    Click Sharing
choose File Sharing on the left
Go into Options and choose both AFP and SMB (not sure if AFP is needed but I did it to be safe)

Ctrl Click Finder - Connect to server
    type smb://your pc name/users
It might ask you to put in your Mac computer name and password
click connect and it should in theory mount

see if that works - I have yet to figure out how to share back to my Windows machine
