Try checking out your router setup it may be blocking those programs. You may need to login to the router and "enable" the programs as I notice they are P2P programs and quite often you have to permit their use. Try googling for "enabling p2p on my xxxx router" where xxxx is the make / model number

Forgot to mention, the other thing you could google for is "Port forwarding on xxxx router" as this is what you are trying to achieve. Good luck!

hi mate. thanks for your help. somehow i ended up on this page
Internet Access Troubleshooting - NETGEAR Forums
it is a troubleshoot for any application which isnt working.
in my case(on my router), i enabled uPnP, changed MTU to 1400, and changed 'Block Services'from álways'to 'never'. im guessing this block services thing was the cause. thanks a lot. cheers!

Good to hear you got sorted, one possible last tweak you could try is to find out from you ISP what MTU setting is best for their service and use that eg. my ISP, XILO recommend 1432 although the router default is 1500. Worth a go!

mine is set to 1438, an odd number for the router to set by itself, so im guessing somebody has already done the tweaking! thanks a lot mate

Please keep in mind that things like limewire, couterstrike, bitcomet are a very good way of getting viruses. That is why they are probably being blocked.
