Can't share an MS Project file (.mpp)

Hi I am trying to share a Microsoft Project file (.mpp), but I can't. I have all shareing options enabled correctly - I've share alot of files from my computer so I know how to do it, but when right-clicking & selecting Share With on this file, it just opens the Advanced Sharing options which is specific for all file sharing, not this particular file, & they are set correctly (network discovery on, etc., etc.).

There is a lock on the file's icon, could that be the reason? I can't find any locking feature or other options to make it accessible. It's in my users/public/documents folder, & when selecting that folder from the remote computer, it shows everything in there but this file.

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried taking ownership of the file? That should allow you to use the permission settings in order to share the file and get rid of the lock.

No problem AAAHome, I think the problem may have been that the .mpp file was created on another machine so in order to share that file you needed to take ownership first, at that point you can use the permission settings to remove the lock.
