Can we connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) Adapter just like this one D-Link Power over Ethernet (PoE) Adapter Kit with any Ethernet switch ? I have a Belkin 5-port 10/100 switch can it be powered by PoE ?

    How it will be setup.

If you are asking if you can connect this device to a NON-PoE switch and then have PoE on the switch the answer is no. If you are asking if you can connect this device to a switch and make one port PoE on the switch the answers is no. The D-Link device is PoE only on the D-Link device. I hope that helps.

If you need PoE on a switch you need to buy a PoE switch the electronics inside the switch are different. However, you can plug NON-PoE devices into a PoE switch without problems. -WS

Does this method YouTube - How to POE a router .wmv works with this adapter kit YouTube - D-Link Power over Ethernet (PoE) Adapter Kit ?

I mean can we use this kit to connect to a Non PoE device ?

The 12 Volt Power Over Ethernet Adapter Kit is a two piece set. The “Injector” sends both
power and data over one Category 5 cable to your access point, wireless router or bridge.
Then the tiny “Splitter”, placed at the remote location, separates the network data and DC
power back into two cables, and delivers them to the access point.
    The Injector can also
be used by itself with POE-enabled network devices that accept 48 volts directly on a POE
    port

If this was a Switch I would say YES!; but I don't know if this device has protection built in for a Non PoE device. You would have to test it on something that you can destroy and if it does not break then you are good to try it on the NON-PoE device.

With all that said I guess I don't understand the need for it if you are not using the Power part. Since you don't need the power just plug the CAT5e wire into the device and the switch, no need for the PoE adaptor.

Unless I am still missing something.
