    Best router

This isn't really a problem but post your opinions on it. Which is the best type of router? Netger, Belkin, D-Link, ect.

Linksys (to me) have always been a great all-round router for a good price

Their look is also rather sexy to (compared to their old boxed look)

My current router is a NetGear, so I've voted for that. I haven't had any experience of the other manufacturers, although they are all respectable ones with a good reputation.

    D-Link nah!

    I have a D-Link 615 Ver R2 with DD-WRT flashed on it. It's gone from a £60 router to a £400 router with DD-WRT. But, the best is Linksys...

I have 2 Cradlepoint routers. They'e not even on the list! I use them because they allow me to plugin my Mobile Broadband aircards and share that connection.

I am using a Link-sys BEFSR41. It was so easy to install that I learned very little about it. It just sets there and blinks and my rigs talk to each other and visit the net.

As in many of those polls, I think that there is no "Best". It depends what functions you require and what you are willing to spend.
I have a Linksys in one location and a Netgear with integrated modem in another location. Both work well and have never failed me (since several years).

I've had several Netgear and Linksys routers, all of them worked great. I recently upgraded to a Netgear wireless N router and matching wireless adapter for my desktop. This shit is faaaaaaaaast. I'm talking speeds a little over 200Mbps. For wireless?? I'm used to the old wireless G which on a good day would get 54Mbps LOL. I think Linksys is pretty equal to Netgear in terms of performance and reliability, but I haven't used a Linksys N router as of yet, so I chose Netgear.
