Realtek Network driver update help plz

    i have just download the driver from realtek and its downloaded to a zip file on my desktop. how do i install it because there is not setup file in it?

    markshim, right click on the .inf file and select install, that will update win7 catelogue, then go to device manager , right click on the device ,select update driver and point to the folder you extracted the unzipped files to :)

    theses are the only files in the zip folder
    rt64win7 security catalog
    rt64win7 setup information
    rt64win7.sys system file
    RtNicprop64.DLL Aplication extension
    RTNUninst64.dll Aplication extension

    thats how they appear in the folder

    tried that and it said the inf file i selected does not support this method of installation

    You have to unzip the file you downloaded.
    Right click the zipped file go down the list and left click "Extract All".

    Open the unzipped folder.
    Then click the inf if the installer doesn't do the job.
