A trojan has messed my internet connection

Mcafee has found a trojan and quarantined it, but now I get limited connectivity both on wifi and ethernet. Any help will be appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Welcome to SF, Torcuato.

Try restoring your computer to a date prior to the virus.

Also, boot your computer into safe mode. Run a full virus scanner check and malwarebytes.

    Torcuato,

    Welcome to SevenForums.

As advised, go back to a restore point prior to the problem.

System Restore - How to use

    Immediately download MalwareBytes.

Using Control Panel | Programs and Features, UNINSTALL MCAFFEE.

    Install and run MalwareBytes.

Then download install and run the very best AV you can get which also happens to be free, namely, Microsoft Security Essentials.

    Malwarebytes

    MSE - Microsoft Security Essentials

Mcafee was bought by intel for 7 billion, it can't be that bad.
