Sudden Extreme dip in wireless dl/ul

Hello folks i've been trying to google my way to victory with this problem but so far no good.

Sometime last week I noticed my wireless connection suddenly started going extremely slow while at home. I did the usual; newest drivers, reset modem/router, scanned for spyware and viruses and even reformatted this partition and nothing has solved the problem.

I'm running on a Asus U50A series Notebook and I'm connecting to an apple airport extreme router.

Connecting using an Ethernet cable I have normal internet but when i go back to wireless it returns to dial up like hell.

I live in a house with 2 other guys and they can cannot fine via wifi and have no complaints, this issue seems to only have befallen me.

When i access my parent's wifi, i have no problems and when i access my college's wifi I have no problems it's only when i'm at home.

Let me know if you kind folks need any more info.

How far are you away from the wireless rooter, and are there any doors or walls between you and the rooter?
