Guys, as I said before, ISP in my city can provide customers 1000Mbps FTTH residential service plans, here it is...
P.S. This test is done by my friend. He pays HK$158/month and I pay HK$99/month but the price varies by district as I know

What makes it even worse is that is the equivalent of US$20.33/month for these amazingly fast download and upload speeds!

Just quote a reference, this is the official page of my ISP and it's lucky they always give you a special offer if you actively query for a lower price:

@Maxxwire, the low price is the cause-and-effect by the aggressive competition among ISPs, they have recently announced a new round of price-down actions will be started soon

Could you possibly export some of that aggressive ISP competition to the United States where the our ISP's have mutually agreed to charge as much as they can possibly get away with for bandwidths that are a fraction of what you folks have there in Hong Kong?

I find your federal policies just state the target of getting speed of every residential line to be averagely 100Mbps as a long-term goal. I suppose the present uneven situations will be improved in the coming years if your President also concerns on the lag of Internet development between US and the Asian countries. You know, the proportion of broadband popularity in both South Korea and Japan are at the top of the world!
