When was the last time you reset your Comcast modem?

It has been confirmed around your area that people who currently have Performance will go to 25/4 and Blast-->50/10, etc. I am assuming you have Performance because you said you usually get around 15mbps. I don't know if they are bumping up any plans below Performance.

I'm just curious, are these the speeds you get when downloading through firefox/IE/chrome? I mean the kbp/s.

When downloading a file, what is everyones speed when downloading a file?

My connection is 50Mbps(MegaBit per second) down and 10Mbps up, and I can potentially download files at 6.25 MB/s(MegaByte per second) and upload files at 1.25MB/s. 50/8=6.25, 10/8=1.25

My downloads on a well seeded torrent can reach 1MBs, it all depends on the server I download from with other sites.

My connection has remained very good since I started on FTTC, it's dropped a couple of meg over the course of a year or so, but I imagine that's due to more people getting connected to Fibre on the same cabinet.
It is a very stable connection, I think it's only gone down once in over a year.

On Steam games usually download anywhere between 7 to 9MB/s which is great.

Hmm my high school shoots around 100megabits, once i got it around 130. ISP was consolidated communications, but i think its a private relationship. Tax money.

Well I called Comcast and upgraded my internet from 20 to 50 mbps, but it hasn't kicked in fully yet, I believe I'll need a new modem or firmware. Currently getting a little better speeds though, just not that 50mbps I want.
