I can try! But my hopes are not high :P

Maybe my acer has a crappy network-card!?
If you can just disable the adaptor for now reboot the machine then post a screen shot of your ipconfig /all it would be most helpful.

The ipconfig looks totally normal. What kind of signal strength and speed are you getting?

When it freezes up does it unfreeze again without having to shut down?

I have full signal, and downloads at 3,2 mb/s (30 Mbit)

When it freezes up, it will unfreeze after a minute or two. And I dont need to shut down.

Ok the ipconfig looks fine but I can't help to think this is sounding like a harddrive problem. Intermittent freezing is typically a harddrive problem of some sort.

I believe your laptop is using an hitachi harddrive. Use the link below to download the hitachi harddrive utility and run the harddrive fitness test.

I tried the link, and chose "Hitachi" but why does it ask for a diskette?
And the CD-Image had just some old dos-files in it.

How do I use this? (Yes, I`m a noob) :P

I believe you can burn the file to a CD or DVD then run the program off the CD.

I know that, but the program has to be driven from DOS. And I dont have DOS

Windows 7 has a Dos prompt, just type cmd then enter into the start search window. But you don't need that, just click on the one that says CD image and burn to a CD using imgburn. You can also use the built in burner in Windows 7.

It's about the easiest thing you can do on a PC.

Weird laptop display issue
This is an issue my co-worker just asked me about on his personal Dell laptop, which is 2-3 months shy of being 2 years old. It has Win7 Home Premium, 64-bit, Core i5 processor, and 6 GB RAM. He said it did this several months ago, when the original battery started wearing out, but then it...
