Users with administrative rights don't get all rights
I did not see this addressed in several searches.
What I have found with several new installations is that the very first username you establish has rights beyond any other subsequent users you add even if you give them "administrative" rights. This specific problem that having is that I need to log into a newly set up machine using remote desktop. The machine has been configured to accept remote desktop from all versions of Windows. It will except connections from the first name I set up but not the second user although that usually set up with "administrative" rights. Frankly when I tried to add the name of the second user to the machine under remote desktop so the machine will except the second user indicates that the username I am trying to enter represents "an unknown object". The machine is continuing to indicate that only the first username has been given remote desktop rights. Unfortunately the second user name is the user who will be on the machine most of the time. For me to access their desktop I need to be able to login using that second user name. Any tips appreciated. I suspect this may have been asked but I just didn't find it.. Thank you in advance
Kevin
This machine is running Windows 64 bit 7 professional. We are on a network in my home although we have designated this is a "work network" not a home network. I am trying to access the machine from Windows 764 bit.
