Losing Internet Connectivity after disabling Network List Service?..

    Hi all,

at work we are having a small home network of 6 Pcs four of them running on Windows 7 Ultimate and two of them running on windows xp.
Since one of the pcs running on windows 7 Ultimate will be accessed by a wider number of people we don't want them to be able to see our network structure and consequently tamper with it. Therefore, we have disabled the Network List Service in System Configuration in Administartive Tools. However, when we do this the Pc loses internet connection.
I tried doing the same thing on my home pc running on windows 7 Pro and the network works fine there.
I would appreciate it, if someone let me know what is happening and how I could solve this issue.

    Thanx in advance ;-)

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

Is the computer connected wirelessly? If so and you're having connectivity issues then you could try the steps in the following tutorial to see if it clears it up
