    Network now gone?

I need some help. I have Win7 Pro and it was connected and set up with all network settings as all my other computers. I use to be able to see the shared folders and I was able to see the other computers on line. I was also able to share media player library.

No I bought a new wireless router and a USB wireless adapter. Installation was fine. But now I cannot see any of my computers now. I cannot share my music. Firewall is off, same results.

So this networking with Win7 is really new to me, seems easier on my XP machines, but that is just me. Anyone have any ideas what I need to do?

If this is a mixed OS network you should be using workgroup. If you are using homegroup, on some systems, there is a connectivity issue

You should create a new network connection using workgroup

    Found it

zz thanks for the quick reply. Found out. I have an old HP 4101mfp and this printer has given me nothing but headaches since I inherited it. I had a similar issue before. Went downstairs and shut it off. Now all my computers see each other.

It's the dam-nest thing. That printer is set up for DHCP, but it does something to the router. For instance, when I was checking who was on, the router said this computer was "wired". It is wireless. Now I shut the printer off, now it says that this computer is wirelessly connected and I can see everyone.

    Thanks again though
