Losing Wireless Connection After Reboot

Hello, I need help. I have win7HP 64-bit AsusU45 laptop. Whenever i turn On, restart my laptop, i lost the wireless connection. I tried updating my NIC, its showing updated. I tried disabling/reenabling it, still no good. This is a brand new one i bought so i don't know if there is a WLAN software, i looked for it but i cant seem to find it.

One more thing i noticed, i restarted the laptop, it will be online right after the boot because i can see my skype getting online. But then it logs out. I checked IE, no connection. So i waited for like 3-4 mins, the wireless connection is again connected.

Please tell me what's happening and how can i have this permanently fix. or this is bug with win7..?

If I understand correctly, your wireless connection goes in and out. How close are you to your wireless router? Is there anything blocking it, any interference? How many bars do you have showing signal strength on the notebook? Can you change frequency on the router?

Hello Lemur, thanks for the reply. It doesn't go in and out. I dont also think its intermittent. It just does that whenever i reboot or turn on my laptop. It will have internet connection for like a minute after reboot, then it will lose the connection for like 3-4 mins. then its online again. After that, it will be all thru out has internet connection until i restart my laptop.

How close are you to your wireless router?

I'd like to see if you have the same problem with another notebook. If the problem lies with the computer or the router.

You can also start a command prompt and type

ipconfig /renew

to see if this brings back the Internet connection.

When you have Internet connection, type

ipconfig /all > sf.txt

then upload sf.txt to this site.

Also, have your scanner your notebook with malwarebytes AND your virus scanner? What is your virus scanner?

Im like beside the router. it does the same thing.the internet will come back up automatically after 3-4 mins and i wont lose it until i restart my laptop.so its like after reboot, it will have 1 min internet connection, then lose the internet connection for like 3 mins. then internet connection resumes all throughout while my laptop is on. it will do the same process again if i restart my laptop.

I've had this same problem on my Sony laptop and it seems that the Sony wireless access manager was the culprit. I just went to add-remove programs and found the wireless connection utlity and uninstalled it,...problem solved.

You may need to Remove Wireless Network which has been known to resolve wireless connectivity issues.

@chev65 thanks for the reply. i tried removing ASUS wireless console and Boingo- pre installed apps for wireless, but it does not resolve it.. i was really hoping it could. unfortunately, it does the same.

@orbital shark, thanks for the reply. yes i did that and it worked. i always do that if i want to be connected right away and not waiting for 3-4 mins. but when i restart my laptop, it does the same.. So it really doesnt resolve it.
