USB modem not connecting to internet

    Hi There.
Afew days ago i was trying to connect my laptop to my ps3.
To do this i was changing setting etc but never got it to work anyway..
The next day i turn the computer on and can't connect to the internet.
I think it was something to do with dns
I uninstalled and reinstalled my usb modem and software and always get full connection bars and says its connected, but in the bottom right hand corner it says network "no internet access" with a yellow triangle over it .
    This is driving me nuts!
It was because i was changing all of the settings in network and sharing senter, but being the wally i am, never wrote down the original settings. Whatever i did i am fairly certain i did it in the change adapter settings.

I hope any of that made sense to you.
If you need any extra info let me know.
Thankyou for trying to help my problem!

I am running windows 7.. i did a quick ipconfig /all and it says my dns servers are:
    139.130.4.4
    203.50.2.71

I really hope you can help me..
    - Sara

Have you tried doing a system restore to a point before you started making the changes??

Time to consider doing a repair install... This will show you how to do a repair upgrade install to fix your currently installed Windows 7 and preserve your user accounts, data, programs, and system drivers.

    windows 7 USB issue

I figured out this after several days. The windows 7 makes use of the RAS protocol so after connecting the modem, go to Tools --> General---> and change from NDIS to Ras.
That was all I did and it came up
(Note that you wont see this options until your modem is inserted and detected by your computer)

Now to go read up on those protocols
