Where Would a Wireless Adapter Be?

    Hello,

I know this question doesn't pertain to Windows 7, per se. However, where would I find the physical wireless adapter in my laptop? It's Acer Aspire 5532, and my Windows 7 can't find the adapter. When I go to install an adapter it says that I have to install my network adapter.

So, as the rule-of-thumb, where would I find it?

Check your laptop manual for some form of switch to activate the wireless adaptor. This may be a key combination or a physical switch on the case.

The wireless adaptor is a relatively high power user and is often switched off by default.

If the adaptor is switched off then windows will not find it.
