    Can't stream movies to ps3

I am having issues with streaming movies to my ps3. I have been to every forum but still can't get it to work. I have a new windows 7 computer and I can play blu ray on my computer without a problem. My computer also sees the ps3 but I can't get the ps3 to see my computer. Any help would be great.
    Cheers

Thanks for your help, but it didn't do the trick. I have checked both ps3 and computer and both have the correct mac address, firewall off, and everything selected as you said, and still no connection to the ps3, I am completely stumped.

Then you might need a program that streams media from your computer to your ps3. Try TVersity - Home .

If you need help setting it up to your ps3, try googling some guides: here are some

Have you enabled "Media Server Connection" in Network Settings on your PS3 XMB.

If others are recommending other streaming apps.........
I will recommend PS3 Media Server.

If you want to be able to stream Hi-def MKV (my copy of Avatar is 19GB),
I would not recommend Tversity. Especially MKV with subtitles.
There is a way to get it to work with Tversity, but it involves tweaking codecs and such. I have zero codecs in my PC and have flawless streaming of all but 5 of my 500+ movies of varying formats.
PS3MS has real-time updating of shared folders......Tversity has to be scheduled to do folder scans or you can update your folders manually, but large libraries take forever to scan.

Just my opinion as I have run both at the same time for comparison, and quickly removed Tversity after that.

Windows media player for the PS3 is awful in comparison to both Tversity and PS3 Media Server.
