extremely frustrated here, help needed!

    extremely frustrated here, help needed!


    basically my laptop which is windows seven used to connect wirelessly and now it doesn't.
    it says i CAN connect, but it just won;t, i've entered my WEP key and it is correct, and it doesn't work, this is so frustrrating as i need this to work for next week.
    the pictures below show the problems!
    i have a desktop too which is connected to the same router/network and it is doing fine with no problems

    sorry the third picture was meant to show the lower right window saying 'unable to connect' but i was too early in screen capping that. the troubleshooter was also useless

    i've also tried about 6 different sockets around the house and still doesn't connect

    first off hello and welcome :)
    have you reset the hub/router then rebooted?

    to reset the hub ...do i just turn it off and on? or just hold the button in (its a cisco one)

    well turning it off and leave it for a minute or two before you turn it back on then reboot pc and see if it resets the settings

    ok, what's the model of the hub/router? you have tried the windows built in trouble shooter? what does it say?
