    Bittorrent problems

I keep getting the "no incoming connections" problem. I know the port is forwarded, because I put my computer in the DMZ. I am using a Linksys WRT54GL running tomato 1.25. I have utorrent allowed in windows firewall. I figured the firewall must be the problem, so I disabled it, it was still running in services so I killed the service, utorrent went green for a minute, then yellow again. speeds are around 300kbps, which is far less than normal I am using a 26mbps down/8mbps up comcast business connection. is there a way to fix the firewall, or an alternative that works in 7? I have QOS enabled in my router with bittorrent at the lowest priority as well. but there is nothing else using much bandwidth.

There are other factors that will effect your speed like the Seed to peer ratio and the speed it is being uploaded by those seeds, peer to peer has and always will be determined by the speed and the availability of the uploaders.

When you hit Ctrl+G and then hit the button to test if the port is forward does it come up ok or error if its an error that its not open open another port also make sure you have enable upnp port mapping enabled to make the program send the port to the router to open it.

If you have installed a program similar to or PeerGuardian 2, you must allow the BitTorrent protocol in your IP address or else it's the same thing as being Firewalled.

    Not a wise idea.

The port shows up as blocked in the speed guide, no matter which port I use or how I configure the router. I don't have peerguardian, the only active security software on this computer is windows firewall.
