    DLNA from Win7 to PS3??

I've used TwonkyMedia server on Vista and Linux to my PS3 for a long time. Now I have a new Win7 machine and would like to share media.

Looks like it's built in to Win7 so I followed these instructions:
Play To - Windows 7 features - Microsoft Windows

and allowed all computers on the local network to see my media.

But the PS3 is not seeing my system.

A few days ago I did see something on my PS3 that indicated that something was being shared, but when I tried to connect it said that I was not authorized.

Now when I do a "search for media servers" on my PS3, I do not see the system.

    Should work right?
    Anything else to check?

    Thanks,
    Windy

How odd... Here's a video about how to set up exactly what I have. And I've set it all up the way he suggests, and my PS3 does nothing. Odd...
YouTube - How to setup Windows 7 Media Server - Windows Media Player 12 - PS3

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Do you have file and printer sharing enabled in Windows 7?

    File yes. Printer no.
At least places where I found a printer sharing option I turned it off. There are shared disks on the machines that other Win systems on the network can see.

Sigh... After all this time they have not fixed two things:

    1. A reboot is required to make it work, sometimes. But they don't tell you this.
    2. Sony PS3 is still an Unknown Device. How lame is that?

So it's working. Thanks, and sorry for bothering you.
