    Coping from an XP drive

Hi, I just installed 7 and it seems like for some reason Microsoft has made if very hard to copy files from my old XP drive to my Windows 7 drive. I just want to transfer a save game file from the documents folder on my XP drive to the drive I installed 7 on but it is nearly impossible. How can I do this and why did they make it so difficult?

In theory, you just need to connect it to your pc, then simply start Windows 7 and in Explorer or something just copy it from one drive to the other. But that's in theory What exactly have you tried and can you give us more details of the problem? Do you get error messages of any kind? Help us help you :)

I think I figured it out. I needed to right click the folder and click share with and then click homegroup (read/write) and then it just let me copy and past to my 7 drive.
