Network adapters disappeared

Hello. I joined this forum a few hours ago as I need help with something my pc has been having a long time now. My network adapters of my pc disappeared at the very moment and I really don't know what the cause is.

I've let it check by a system admin and even he doesn't know what is causing it. So this is what makes me think of that the problem might be with the OS rather then something with the hardware. I can't find the network adapters in device manager either and before you tell me it's the NIC, well it does the same with other NICs and I tried the NIC in another pc and it works fine with it.

I was also thinking that it might be having a conflict with the graphics card. If you guys have any tips for me, then give it a shot I will try anything just to get rid of this problem.

It is possible it is conflicting with the graphics card. If you can (if you have onboard video), remove the graphics card and see if the NIC returns.

Thank you for your reply Jelyman, unfortunately my graphics card isn't an onboard graphics card. Anything else that could be conflicting with my NIC? I only have the networking problem and that's it everything else works.

Do you have a discreet NIC or built into the MB.
Or both for that matter. Any blue tooth or wireless adapters installed.

Thank you for your reply Jelyman, unfortunately my graphics card isn't an onboard graphics card. Anything else that could be conflicting with my NIC? I only have the networking problem and that's it everything else works.

What I meant was if you don't have onboard video also, removing your graphics card wil result in not being able to really tell if it fixed the problem (hence nothing on screen)

Well that would me not being able to see my screen so I wouldn't know if it worked, but now that you tell me, I've tried another graphics card in it and I still had the same problem.

I have a NIC: Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC.
And my onboard LAN: NVIDIA nForce Networking Contoller.

Both used to work fine until I found out the NIC stopped working and then my onboard one gave up aswell.

Are they both still installed? I would download up to date
chipset drivers for that board. Then I would uninstall the Realtec card and drivers.
Reboot, then reinstall the chipset drivers and reboot again. See what happens.
Also I would make sure the NIC wasn't disabled in the bios.
I think your chipset drivers maybe corrupted.

Thank you for your time. I will try to uninstall them, but I found my chipset drivers through Driver Genius Pro... Because Vista x64 drivers weren't able to be installed on it so I used that program to get the drivers that would install it on my pc... Any tips of how to get my chipset drivers besides that then though?

Your board doesn't have Windows 7 drivers for it... soo.... new board? (which would inevitably lead to a new proc, etc. etc.)

Maybe I should, but why doesn't the networking work? because the only problem here is my networking. My integrated soundcard is working perfectly fine and so does every onboard device except the LAN devices (onboard as NIC). I know the mobo is old... But I do know that it's not too old as it has vista drivers and Windows 7 is build up from Vista.
