My internet explorer is not working, please help.

Hello everyone, my internet explorer was working a few days ago, then i logged off and logged back in and it wont display any pages and says if i would like to start a diagnostics test, and when i do it says everything is fine and it cant find the problem anywhere on the internet lol. But my internet explorer 64 bit works, my Normal Internet explorer or 32 bit is not. I am using XP not vista.

Any ideas? Please reply ASAP, this computer is used for my school work.
    Thanks

Sounds like your 32 bit IE is corrupted. Try resetting it. See here: How to reset IE8

And please be sure to read Ztruker's link carefully. As this will reset IE8 it will delete some settings, so be careful

Hmmm, good point. Maybe try running IE without Add-ons, see if that resolves the problem.

Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If that resolves the problem then start IE normally and use Tools / Manager Add-ons to disable them a few at a time until you find the one causing the problem. Uninstall it or find an update.

If you do reset IE, might be a good idea to save your Favorites first if you have any you care about.

If you do go the route of completely resetting IE, here's how to save favorites: Import or export favorites in Internet Explorer

wow! quick replys! Thank you! Ill be trying these out and keep you guys posted!!

    Ok - update,

The disableing addons didnt work, i wanted to do the reset, but it seems to reset too many major things for this laptop. Im using an Aleinware lap top that had been made with specific colors and fonts and language and other things it was going to erase, as well as protection provided.

any other ideas? Thhat dont cost too much of a loss of data?

I already backed up the favorites anyone.
