Wireless connection limited access after changing router setting MCS

    Hi everyone,

    I did a stu*id thing a few days ago.
I have found a wireless connection near me and connected to it. I saw that my speed is kind of good (about 14 Mb/s), I tried to get this speed higher.
I went into the router setup from my browser, and changed some settings from there. Once changed, I reboot the router to see if it changed my speed.

The one setting that blocked my access to internet is MCS. I don't remember if that was off/disabled, but i changed it to MCS7, the last option available for MCS... thing.

Now i have limited access to internet.

    Tried: rebooting PC
    - manually setting IPv4 IP, subnet mask, default gateway...
    - uninstall my wireless card

My wireless adapter is TOTOLINK N150PC.

    Please, can you help me?

Welcome to sevenforums NeoWin7 Set the router back to its default configuration and start over, turn off all computers and boot the router, setup prefs, etc. :)

I cant do that because I dont own that router.
I know who does, but I cant go there and just say "Hey, I'm stupid, I messed up with your router and now I cant access internet because of that. Can I please enter and put that setting back to the way it was?"

I cant access the router settings from my PC.

You should go to your neighbors apologize tell them what you did and then never connect so someone elses internet again. If you need internet go buy it like everyone else

    Yes mom...
If I wanted advices about how to be a good human being, I would not go on this website...
That wireless connection has no password. It's not my fault for that.

So, can anyone please tell me what is that MCS 7 and if there is a compatibility program with my wireless board for it?
Or how can I get rid of that limited access?

    Thank You.
