    windows 7 disconnects WD mybookworld

    Hi all
I have a network setup with Xp pro. Also I have a Virtual Machine with Win 7. At any time when I connect the VM and go back to my XP the connection to the network drives is lost. The only way to reconnect the drive is that I have to disonnect the drive, shut down the machine, unplug the MBW(power and network), restart the machine XP and connect the power and network cable. Of course I have to remap the drives with the WD discovery setup.
Has anyone else come accros this problem with Win7 and XP Pro?
All firmware is up to date.

    Thanks

Under the VM options, you can disable the USB mapping and that will take care of it.

edited: to get around the issue, just share the USB device with everyone and the VM will see it (on same workgroup/domain)

It is a network drive and not usb exterior drive.
