Certain websites dont connect - DNS - static IP

    thanks, i ran both on C:, the super found 51 Adware tracking cookies which i deleted, the MALWAREBYTES was fine

    made no difference though....

    do i need to reset IE8 settings to default...which one could be at fault...


    also did CCleaner, diskcleanup etc, etc...

    nothing worked....so its like the others who have this problem...


    how to best reload IE8, the one i have came with windows 7, do i just download an update IE8 for windows 7, if it exists

    Open Internet Options > Advanced tab > click Reset button to restore default IE settings. If that doesn't help you could also try running System File Checker. If it finds any corrupt files run it at least 3 times. Some files may be dependent on other files that haven't been fixed on the first scan.

    nope, no go....the only thing i didnt try was to reset the router/modem, but since websites using FF worked, resetting the router shouldnt make the difference...

    the IE8 i have installed with WINDOWS 7

    whats the PROPER procedure to reinstall/download IE8, do i uninstall my IE8, where do i get IE8 download for WINDOWS 7 from

    This Microsoft article explains the procedures for uninstalling IE8 from Windows 7. To quote from the article:

    However, Internet Explorer 8 is a part of Windows 7. Therefore, if you remove Internet Explorer 8, you will have to install a third-party browser to be able to connect to the Internet.
    How do I uninstall or remove IE as a troubleshooting step?

    You should be able to reinstall IE8 by visiting the Microsoft Download Center:
