Homegroup Stops working after a couple of Hours

My Homegroup stops working after a couple of hours i have to reset my modem for it to work. After it stops working and in my network for example one of my laptops doesn't show that its there and I don't know whats wrong I tryed going to Homegroup Troubleshoot problems but it still doesn't fix it.

    Please help thanks

Also I have Norton as an Anti virus and I allowed it to not block homegroup but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

To clarify something do you need to reset your modem, or your router?

Several firewalls are infamous for causing this behavior in windows 7.

Are you using anything other than the default windows firewall?
