Homegroup Stops working after a couple of Hours

My Homegroup stops working after a couple of hours i have to reset my modem for it to work. After it stops working and in my network for example one of my laptops doesn't show that its there and I don't know whats wrong I tryed going to Homegroup Troubleshoot problems but it still doesn't fix it.

    Please help thanks

Also I have Norton as an Anti virus and I allowed it to not block homegroup but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

    Hi Amirsad,

Is your Norton perhaps a Norton Security Suite, perhaps the Firewall is the issue? Try disabling all NIS services running for now and see if the Norton is the culprit. Click on Start and type msconfig press enter, locate Service Tab and uncheck all Norton Services.

What sort of network is it..wired, wireless or mixed? Also, it would help to know what make and model of router it is just in case someone has had the same fault on a similar router.
