    Toshiba NB520 wifi issues

    Hi everybody,

I just bought myself a shiny new Toshiba NB520 running Windows 7 starter 32 bit, and am having trouble getting my wireless internet up and running. I can access the wifi from my phone no problem but my laptop seems to think it doesn't exist. When I want to "Set up a new connection or network/connect to the internet" it asks me "How do you want to connect. Now my only option is to "connect using a cable" which is not what I want to do. As far as I know my wifi is turned on. I have set WLAN settings to automatic and started. Is there something I have missed? Also the laptop will not pick up my phones bluetooth. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It would be a good idea to make sure you have the wifi switch on the laptop turned on if there is one. If not it might make use of the "Fn" function keys. FN+F8, and hopefully that is responsive.

Are you able to see any networks looking at the available wireless networks in the task bar?

Wifi is on-orange led is on. The taskbar says there are no network connections available and when I click trouble shoot it tells me to plug in my ethernet.
