    local area connection unidentified network no internet access Xbox


    Hey i am having problems connecting to Xbox live because it has no internet access and i have tried lots of things and nothing is working. here is the story behind it.... i had tried connecting many times before but it wouldn't work but one day i tried and i changed sharing on something (IDK what i forgot) and it worked so i had live for a couple of days. then one day my bro was online and the power went out in the house for a while, the next day i tried to connect and it wouldn't... on the when i plug in xbox ethernet to computer it says unidentified network on internet access. so can you help me connect thank you I got a cricket broadband modem on the usb

    How the internet is coming in?: Your Internet Coming in? Is it going to another computer or to a Router?: Is the XBox Wireless or Hardwired?

    ok i got a cricket wireless broadband modem that is connected to my usb. the internet comes straight from there and is not shared with any other computers there is no router...the xbox is wired so i use ethernet cable and got updated when i took it to my friends house. when i test xbox live connection it wont get to the network icon... im thinking of just spending the money to get the wireless adapters

    So you are using your Computer as an Internet Sharing Connection....

    Modem (usb) goes into the computer *ICS* activated and xbox is connected to the NIC port.

    Now...can you check to see if ICS is enabled, and when it is enabled.

    Can you do a "ipconfig /all" and send us the results.

    Start > Type "cmd" (search box) > right click on CMD *run as admin* > and continue with IP config

    Your NIC card saids this:

    Do static IP's and try to see if this works: in your IPv4 for the NIC card.
