    Shootist... Hi
I have never had that... but that is not a problem... the only XP I have connected to is pro... don't know whether that makes a difference... but I may face it sometime...

    Q. What do you do?... Ask the user for their Windows logon?

    TIA

Actually I am more hands on when I'm fixing someones computer. I go to there house/business or they bring the PC to me.
The only systems I use RDC with are my own. From work I can RDC to 3 of my home systems. All using a different port number. Or I can connect to the other systems in my house from any other system in my house.
Every PC has a Pro version OS on it.

Oh yeah the first thing I do is get there log on name and password. Can't do much without it. Well I could but they wouldn't like it.
Some times I even setup my own account and then hide it. That way I always have a back door into the system if they F it up.
