I'm having problems with the WLAN Autoconfig lag that occurs every 60 seconds. Basically, the OS scans for wireless network every minute, and it results in a lag spike for online games and Skype.
In Vista, this is easily fixed using program called Vista Anti-Lag or WLAN Optimizer, but none of these program seem to do any effect on Windows 7.
Is there any solution to this?

Does your router or wireless adapter have software installed on your computer to facilitate the network connection? For example I have a D-Link wireless USB adapter for my PC that came with software to basically take the place of the Windows WZC (WLAN in Vista) service. These programs usually have a similar polling feature built-in but the interval of the polling and intensity of the lag caused will vary. I would attempt to locate any software related to your wireless card or your router and disable it if possible to see if the problem is eliminated.
There also might be pre-installed wireless software from your PC manufacturer that could be causing the problem. From my experience with laptops they tend to come filled with all sorts of unnecessary crap that is configured to load on startup and lots of it has to do with WiFi capability. I would play around with msconfig and stop any programs from loading on startup that aren’t 100% necessary as a test to see if the lag is still present.
Lastly you can try using this command to disable the wireless polling: set autoconfig enabled=no interface="Wireless Network Connection". Substitute Wireless Network Connection with the name of your wireless adapter, if you dont know the exact name of your Wireless adapter then the easiest way to find out the name of your connection is by running ipconfig from the cmd prompt

I have Linksys's WMP54G for my desktop's adapter, but no luck finding a software that replaces Wireless Zero. I tried using Ralink's driver for my card, as people reported that it fixed the problem. that wan't my case
My desktop is built by myself, and I only installed the necessary hardware drivers. I doubt there are any third party program that's messing with the wireless.
Lastly, I tried disabling wireless polling using cmd as you've suggested. After entering the command you posted, it said Auto configuration has been disabled, then I tried pinging but the latency spike is still there (from 50ms to 1000ms every 1min). I then rebooted my PC, then wireless was not working at all, so I had to turn it back on.
EDIT: No more lag spike! I did a clean reinstall of all the network drivers, and reinstalled the original driver that came with the install CD. Combined that with Vista Anti-Lag, and the spike is gone! I've been pinging to my router for over 5mins now and no sign of lag spike
