    New PC replaces Homegroup host, but won't let me join


    I originally set up a Homegroup from a PC I have now replaced. My new PC recognises that there is a Homegroup, but won't let me join - it says the password is wrong.

    Of course, I can't see the password because I can't join ...

    Can you log in to one of the other computers that are part of the original Home Group and get the password there?

    I know the password, but as the "server" for the Homegroup is not connected, I guess that Windows doesn't.

I have a laptop with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and a desktop windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. They were networking in till i installed bit defender on the desktop. Now it has avg. My laptop has nod32 smart security. I can only create homegroups on both they both do not jion.
hello, i just installed windows 7 a few days ago. today i tried to host or join an ip-game "Age of Conquerors" over the internet (igz) and it won't work. if i host, others can't join, and if others host i can't join. i also tried to disable the windows firewall, but it did not help. before...
