Help me setup NFS shares

Using Samba shares with my Popbox media players I get stutter when watching my 1080p mkv's. These average from 8-16 GB's so I don't think the bitrate is nearly as high as an ISO or other uncompressed format. I was told they shouldn't stutter but they do. I would also get stutter over my same network streaming to my WDTV-LIVE media player using it's SAMBA share protocol. Interestingly with the WDTV media player, it offered a media server option which as I understand it, was being served from the W7 software of my PC. Using media server option in my WDTV instead of using a share, I was able to get much less stutter when streaming my 1080p mkv's. Unfortunantly my Popbox doesn't have 'MEDIA SERVER' option but it does have a manual add shere option for NFS shares and I was advised this could fix my stutter problem. I was advised to do these links/guides to setup NFS shares with my Popbox media players.

I followed guide above. I completed install steps. Next step says: Configuring the server It says:

Run the configuration script
In the cygwin shell window, run: /usr/bin/nfs-server-config

I did this and was prompted to say yes or no at warning. I said yes. It said checking for other unix. It said Good no other unix detected. It then asked me do I want to run nf sd on a separate user account? I said no. It then tried installing services but access was denied to all of them citing a w32 error:5 message.

Should I have said yes? I am running W7 32 bit. Is this even compatible with W7?

After w32 error:5 messages -I get a rather long message saying:
it looks looks I've installed cygwin as a single user and cygwin mount points will not be available to programs installed as windows services. This will keep port map, mountd, and nfsd from running as windows services.
In order for portmap, mountd and nfsd to function properly, you should establish global mount points using the /bin/mount/ utility. You can change user-specific Cygwin mount points to global mount points using the following command:***
Your current mount -m listing is:
none /cygdrive cygrive binary,posix=0,user 0 0

I think these errors may have happened because I didn't start CYGWIN program as run as andministrator but does anyone know Do I run nfsd under a seperate user account yes or no when it prompts me? It says if running XP to use separate account.

I think my errors here were created because I have to create the user with proper permissions prior to running the server-config. The rest of the errors I think are related to unix commands that are attempting to use the user and password that must be created prior to running the server config script.

So my next question is-
Using W7, can I click "NO" when prompted to run nfsd as a separate user account and thus skip having to create a seperate user for Windows 7?

I was told it would be easier to use hanewin nfs program to share NFS so I started a new thread here in this forum called "hanewin help" if anyone wants to help me with setting it up.
