I use MSE too, an excellent security software can hog resources though.

Google MSE.

Why do you run a spyware scan a couple of times each week?
I found MSE, removing current Avti Virus/Spyware Apps now. SuperAntiSpyware would find Tracking Cookies that Defender missed, some days would find 40+ Tracking cookies & malware.
When trying to install MSE on BILLDT2, XP SP3, it says it's not a valid w32????
Got me now

Looks like there's really something going on with BILLDT2.
You may try AVG Free, it's a very good Anti-Virus software as well.

Googled that error msg. & found a Registry Fixer at How to Fix Not A Valid Win32 Application . Running it now then will try MSE. I've had that error in past so must be a problem in Registry.
I've tried AVG 2011 and hated it so went back to 2009 when I used it on my Laptop with Vista ON IT, THAT'S pc i TOLD YOU THAT WAS IN iRAQ WITH MY SON.
i'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW ALL GOES WHEN i FINISH THE wISEfIXER sCAN & rEPAIR.
Scan ran, found problems then wanted $$$$ to fix

Just reinstall the operating system. Back up all of your essential files to another drive/partition/removable media, then install the OS. Make sure you don't choose to repair/upgrade - you need to format the OS partition during the installation process.

Why not a Repair? Won't I have issues with MS Validation of my OS & MS Office?

Why would you have validation problems? If you own the OS and have the key, and you own MS office and have the key, they will validate just fine.

I purchased both Retail thus have Keys to both, was just wondering if MS would validate what essentianly would be a 2nd installtion. Why not do Repair, think that wouldn't resolve what apparently is a Registry problem? But I read License, so see no issue. Thanks......Bill

Another option as I have suggested previously is getting a NAS.
