    Odd W7 Wireless issue..

So I recently moved from a wired connection (10Mb/s+) to a wireless connection. This wouldn't seem to be an issue, as my dad's mac laptop connects from my room with 10,XXX+ kb/s.

    But!

My computer will not exceed ~300 Kb/s down, although it gets ~4.1 ***Mb/s*** up.

    Specs:
    W7 Prof 32b
    WRT310N Router
Belkin N300 USB -and (at separate times, obviously) Rosewill RNX-N300 (PCI)

Hi, Chebeck, welcome to sevenforums. Make sure you have the latest drivers for win 7 for your adaptors.

Yep, did that. Also toggled the ability to sleep the device off, made sure it was on wireless N only on the router and enabled adhoc wireless-n on the adapter.

One of the last 2 things got me to get a ~1.7 down and ~4.0 up, which still baffles me, as I was under the impression that download speeds should at least match, and usually exceed, upload.

In the interest of trying different things, I downloaded the latest Rosewill drivers for this card, and now it had returned to the first speed. Sigh.

This is the speedtest from the Mac laptop on the same connection.
