how to know how much traffic is used by which

    hi,

Lately, at around 1 PM my time, the traffic of my connection is always 48 KB/s (i have 384 kbps internet connection), i see that is maximum speed i got. but the problem is everytime i browse, it's so slow.

My download speed from JDownloader is also drastically decreased from maximum 48 KB/s to 5 KB/s max. so i guess something is using my bandwidth!

maybe it's a trojan, and how to monitor which site or program uses it with nice interface (i can't read machine language)?
    thank you

Some firewalls will log traffic. Do you have antivirus and a firewall you use?

I'll suggest anyway to use some HTTP Sniffer. Some people here on the forum says that have bad experiences with that sniffers, but I have using it for a 3 years and don't have any problem with viruses...

Liquid: thank you. i bought kaspersky, still have about 4 months left but i uninstalled it yesterday since it did me no good, and it slowed me down. i'm thinking of buying eset.
right now i'm using microsoft security essentials.

    Stalker: downloading sniffer, thank you.

Microsoft security will do you well, you don't have to buy another AV if you don't want to. Firewall?

Also, if you suspect other malware, you could try a scan with Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download
