Can't stay connected!

Please help anyone!!! I just got a new refurb HP Presario CQ56 windows 7 laptop with Ralink wireless. I have updated all drivers individually and by a program for everything. I have 3 laptops sitting in the same room. This one, an xp and a visita 32 bit (and a friend 3 times a week also on xp). All but the windows 7 one work just fine.

The windows 7 connects fine at times but not for long. always up and down. I have tried all channels. I have a linksys router E2500, supporting g and n. my laptop I am trying to connect has RaLink... RT5390 802.1 b/g/n... driver version

Why can't I get it to stay connected? The router goes into my den where the main PC is XP Pro. All the laptops are about 15 ft away in the next room... all work great but the windows 7 and it is not just my network... I have used inSSIDer to show it is all networks this laptop suck with. The others are full stregth with mine and neighbors and this laptop will show nothing, then be okay for awhile... then nothing in no time.

Please help!!!

there were 4 results for the HP Presario CQ56 and all have the RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter driver for w7 - one of the 4 results - Compaq Presario CQ56-103TU Notebook PC etc
Driver version 2011-01-14 , Version: -earlier driver but maybe worth a try
There are more on the usa site but same story -
HP Support & Drivers | United States

There is a newer driver here but im not sure you would be into radar sync - but its standard version is probably free - use a restore point if your interested
type ralink then select w7 64 bit then select again from the list of results your adapter.

RadarSync keeps erroring out on me, but I did try a similar program that updated my driver from to and neither of those driers seem to fix the issue. This is so frustrating!

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

It doesn't sound like a driver issue from what you say you've tried already. You should have a warranty and support from HP on the laptop. I'd contact them for support. It really sounds like you have a buggy wireless card.

New HDD on USB3.0 won't stay connected, either.
This new USB3.0 ext HDD seems to be in an almost constant state of Windows thinking it is unplugged, then just plugged back in, back and forth. I had to shut autoplay on it off because it would happen at least once a minute, sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes a couple minutes. The drive and case are...

Just Can't Stay Connected to The Internet
Hey guys, it's my first post here and I'm in quite a quandary. I built this computer up brand new (my specs are listed in my profile) and it worked flawlessly for about a month. I was playing Flight Simulator online, was disconnected, and when I quit the game to investigate I found that I had an...
