Remote Desktop Server config missing from Windows 7 Pro

    Hello,

I generally dont post but I hope someone can help me with this problem.

Wiped my PC over the weekend, reinstalled some of the programs, updated to SP1 and now the Remote Desktop server config is completely gone (see images below).

    OS is Win7 Pro x64

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this (other than another reinstall Id rather avoid that).

Have you gotten it working yet?

If you check the box, perhaps click apply, maybe even have to close and reopen-- do the options not appear??? That is where it should show you the settings to configure it.

No I haven't - completely out of ideas here - tried what you mentioned. The group policy settings for RDC are not set which is default. Google has had no answers for me either...

Same problem with my windows 7 professionnal

Same problem with my windows 7 professionnal x64. I update with sp1 and no more remote desktop tab exactly like you. No solution find with google. I tried to modify the register, I tried the concurent termsrv.dll patch and checked services. Nothing work. I find a lot of users in the same case.

Can you system restore to a date before SP1?
If you boot Windows either from a repair disc, or use Repair mode from the installation disc, does it find anything to fix?
If not, I certainly would not know how to remedy this, other than an image backup or reinstall. Sorry.
