    Pop-uping window

    Hello,
My girlfriend did something on her laptop and she does not know what :). The result is pop-upped window (from window security) every 1-2 minutes. I tried everything what comes to my mind but no change has happened. Can you please help me how to fix it? I uploaded also a screen shot.

    Thank you.

When she is at the university she is using her desktop. Once she used her laptop and this happened (this problem is on her laptop). She is using in just from home for private purposes and this connection issue to university is annoying.

If you are trying to connect to the university, then it is an authentication that is required, and isn't required at university because it's a private network.

If she is not trying to connect to anything university related, then we have an issue :)

I assume that the single connection to the university system has mapped a resource to the university server. this is attempting to re-connect when you use the system at home.

Check on te "computer" screen for any network connections (normally at the bottom of the list after the local drives.

If you have any entries that you do not recognise they can be simply deleted (they are shortcuts so deletion is not data destructive).

If you're not sure post a snip of the computer screen and we'll see what is possible.

There could be other less simple issues applying here but best to try the simple ones first

As Nigel suggested, take a look at your connections. After that, we can try a few other things, as your cache might be holding a connection, or there might be a program that the university uses to connect via proxy.
