    Portforwarding build 7100

Im using 32 bit windows 7 build 7100. Ive portforwarded my router correctly as ive followed all of the steps on a guide that was specificly for my router. This can be found here [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRbk0B83t08"]YouTube - Port forwarding on the DG834G[/ame].

The question is what do i do now to allow my firewall to let incoming and outgoing connections for the port?

Im using the standard windows firewall.

Just make sure that you allow the application on your computer access through the firewall...
Windows Firewall - Add or Remove an Exception
Excellent tutorial...should explain everything you need

Thanks for the reply, both expeceptions are ticked, yet it's still not forwarding the port.

This is what i had done previously before posting here.

They removed that option from the default Windows Firewall, and moved it to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security instead.

    1. In the left pane, click Advanced settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog box, in the left pane, click Inbound Rules, and then, in the right pane, click New Rule.
    3. Follow the onscreen instructions in the New Inbound Rule wizard.

    Hope this helps. :)

Ok ive restarted my laptop canyouseeme.org gives me this error Connection timed out. My static ip and dns are both set up correctly too. Ive portforawrded on this router and on this machine on my vista partition using the same rules, what could be the problem?

The reason on canyouseeme.org has changed to Reason: Connection refused. What does this mean?

It says its closed on another site. Do you know any forums where someone will be able to help me, forums specifically for this kind of thing.

Maybe someone could look over my setup here over team viewer?
