    Error 1327 invalide drive L:\

    Hello!

I have a home network with 3 pc's connected together in a Lan network. One Pc is server and is in the basement and contains the userfiles of the two other pc's.
The 3 pc's is in the same homegroup.
On my pc I have a mapped drive L:\ which is on the server. I have moved my favorites to a folder on L:\, using windows manual to do that. It works nice.

But after doing that I get an errormessage saying: Error 1327 Invalide drive L:\ under installation/uninstallation or update of some programs . Lastest is Adobe Reader uppdate. But my drive L:\ is not invalide!!
Is this a windows 7 bug? Because I had no problem doing the same on XP.

    Mikke

I have seen this in Windows 7 with installing and uninstalling programs whenever you change any user folders location to a mapped drive. I have found that if you set the location to the UNC path (ex. \\server\user\docs) then it will work.

I actually have all of the Windows 7 clients at my company redirecting the documents, desktop, and favorites through a group policy which sets them as the UNC path.

At last some one has seen the same problem as I have.
Will it be ok to use a path like: \\server\S01\ole\favourites\, or in practise:

    L:\ole\favourites\ as I have mapped \\server\S01 as L:\ drive?

If I understand your question. You will want to use the path \\server\S01\ole\favourites\ rather than L:\ole\favourites\

If you do L:\ole\favourites\ then you will probably get the same error.

    Hello!

Using \\Server\S01\ole\favourittes\ worked nicely and I didn't got any Error 1327.

    Thank You
