Homegroup folders shared, but will not expand on other computer

I've placed two computers in a homegroup. Computer 1 can access Computer 2's shared folders, however, Computer 2 cannot access Computer 1's shared folders. When attempting to access the shared folders (with read/write permissions), I get the spinning wheel and then it just eventually says 1 item selected at the bottom of the explorer window and stops. The folders do not expand.
They're on the same workgroup with no other computers, I read that they should be or something.

    Any suggestions?

Edit** okay, nevermind, I got the above problem fixed. I am having an issue now with being able to access the folders now. It says Windows cannot access \\Computer1, blah blah blah.
Before I set up the Homegroup, I had this same issue with being able to access this same computer, from ANY computer in the house, even while they were on the same workgroup, configured with the SAME settings. This computer can access Computer 2s resources on the homework and workgroup.
