    network mapping problems

hi, was wondering if someone can help.

I have setup a network at work withthe following configuration

2 PC's, printer and DVR surveillance system wired directly to Netgear n300 Rangemax router.

When I try to view the network map on one pc it only shows the pc, a switch, router and internet in the map. at the bottom is the DVR that windows says cannot be shown in the map

From the other pc, the network map shows both pc's, a switch for each pc, the router and the DVR as a device that cannot be placed on the map.

I have also noticed that one pc shows the connection as local area connection and the pc shows the connection as local area connection 3.

Does this mean I have 2 networks that are somehow bridged and if so, how do i reset them both to the same network

It solely depends on the IP addresses the devices have, not the name of the connection.
    For example:
With a network mask of 255.255.255.0
The IPs 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.30 are on the same network.
With a network mask of 255.255.255.0
The IPs 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.20.3 are NOT on the same network.
