    How activate WINS server

    Hi all,

I need to activate WINS on my Win7 Proessional. How could I do this?

I have two networks (200.x.x.x and 100.x.x.x) and need to scan, share and access the stations on both networks.

My Win are into 200 network.

    Thanks for any help,

    Welcome to Windows seven Forums.

Not sure if this is what you're after, but I'll post it anyway.

    Hi seavixen32,

I found this article when I'm lokking for an answer but I didn't find these steps on my Win7. What I did wrong?

How or where can I find these configurations screens on Win7?

Thanks for your answer and help,

Unless I'm mistaken, you need to be configuring the computer that Windows Server is installed on, not your Windows 7 computer.

    seavixen,

I need to use my Win7 as the WINS server for the networks, 200.x.x.x where are Win7 and a remote subnet (100.x.x.x) where I have some WinXP.

All my stations are into the same workgroup.

    Thanks and regards,

In that case, I'm out of ideas as the configuration screen you mention does not appear in Windows 7's Turn Windows features on or off.
