    Upgrading...

I'm new here so looking for advice. I have two computers. One is an older desktop with Win Vista and the other is a one-year old laptop with Win 7. I do use a router, cable (TWC) hook-up, etc. I'm thinking about replacing the desktop with a new one which has Win 7 installed which means I'll have two with Win 7.

The question is, if I do above will I be able to communicate between the two, i.e., share photos, programs, etc. I hope I'm asking this in an understandable manner. Thanks..

Yes. Set up Homegroup on the two Windows 7 systems and start sharing.

Thanks... I read the note and I think I understand that since I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop I should insure that I get the same on the new purchase. This will enable me to create a HomeGroup, right? Also, after establishing a HomeGroup, do email programs interact, i.e., if I originate and send an email from my laptop, will a copy go into the 'Send' folder of both computers? Thanks again for quick responses...

No, only to the Sent folder of the originating computer.
