What are you seeing in the system tray? is it the 5 vertical bars and no red X or yellow triangle?

Can you connect to your router via an ethernet cable? If so, connect that way and check the router setup. Also, a quick check, have you got a firewall and antivirus running on the computer? If so, before doing the cable thing, try stopping the firewall and /or antivirus and try troubleshooting the connection again.

Right now I don't have a router. Will test tomorrow
But most probably it's not from my router, because I have a light indicator next to the key for switching on the wi-fi. And this light indicator does not do anything.

Just a thought, do you need to hold down the "Fn" key when you try and switch the wifi on?

no, there is a special key:

Next to it is a key for Bluetooth modem, and when I press this key - the light indicator starts.

The other thing you could try is to do a "repair install" which will replace any missing or broken system files for you. It won't delete any of your personal files or settings. here are the instructions in case you need them:- Repair Install
