I...don't know if that is the right one. My control panel says that it's an x505, but some of the specs are more in line with that one (x500). I think it's an x505 that I had custom-built.

I can't find most of those things you asked for in that program. Where are they?

Edit: Oops. Well, I needed to find this info anyways. Thanks.
dana, if you have had it custom built there is a chance some parts may have been swapped, giving you conflicting specs.
There is also a chance there is something wrong inside the laptop, loose, bad connection, etc..

The only thing I was concerned about was what type of Communication Specs your machine had, but it helps if we have the full specs of what we are talking about, and if we are helping a friend then we need to know as much as possible about that one.
Search for System Spec Programs, and pick the one you fancy.

When is the last time you gave it a good scrubbing with any on-line scanners?
Some malware can mess with networking to suit itself.
Here is a good one: Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper Beta | Microsoft Connect
But, if you are having connection problems, I dunno, it is a 255mb download.

Apologies for not getting back sooner, Hurricane Irene paid a visit and I have been a little busy.
