i conect my modem by usb, and after installed windows i thought that the controlles will be installed like in vista, but didnt happend, and now i dont have internet, wat can i do ?

    thx :)
You connect to your modem with USB? Why? Without knowing what kind of modem you have (you could tell that, too), I would guess it can also use ethernet (LAN) connection. Connect the cable to modem and computer and do like Ken told earlier:

Now you see how easy that was

you can go here Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC* and pick the version that you need (32 bit or 64). that needs to be installed and your computer rebooted.

Let us know if that doesn't work

Letters ep (HP dv7-1060ep) make me think you maybe want to download all the drivers you need from HP´s Portuguese site for your laptop model.

OK, first I have say I am really sorry: I missed a bit of important information you gave us. You have a 32-bit Win7, my links for HP-laptop driver website were for 64-bit. It´s not so big deal because Realtek driver is same for both but anyway, my mistake

Here you find the complete HP-drivers for your computer 32-bit English and 32-bit Portuguese.

My laptop belongs to same dv7-series, our specs are quite similar. I know this Realtek driver works and installs on Windows 7 system.

Install Realtek driver found in HP-driver site. Install a new modem driver just like myzr7 told you earlier. If it asks if you want to remove USB modem, answer yes and Windows removes old driver, then reboot and reinstall modem driver once more.
